Game Notes
Last time around: USF pulled off a close 15-14 victory over BHSU (99'). They went on to finish the season 5-4.
- Take aways: USF has recorded seven (6 interceptions, 1 fumble rcv) take aways in their last two outings for a total of 11 on the season.
- The Mount Rushmore State: The Cougars are 31-63-2 all-time vs. in-state DII opponents (Augustana, Black Hills, NorthernState and South Dakota Tech).
- A game of two Half's:The Yellow Jackets have outscored their competition in the second quarter, 51-31 and fourth quarter 42-24, where as USF has been outscored 75-58.
- Not so different: USF (2-3) and Black Hills State University (1-5) are in their final year of NCAA DII reclassification, moving from the NAIA. The two universities will join the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in the beginning of the 2012-2013 academic year.
- Running Wild: led by sophomore QB Hanna Carrrington and junior RB Jordan Taylor USF has tallied 481 yards (60 % ofseason total) in the Cougars two wins this season.
- The Forecast: Saturday's forecast calls a high of 68 degrees and sunny. USF is 10-1 under Stugart in 40-69 degree weather.
