Quickly: Sioux Falls (5-5, 3-3 NSIC South) will close out its 2013 campaign on Saturday when the Cougars travel to Wayne, Neb., to face a Wayne State College squad that is 2-8 overall and 1-5 in NSIC South action. Kickoff at Cunningham Field is set for 1 p.m. The contest is also WSC's 25th annual Egg Bowl Game. This is the Cougars' first-ever trip to Wayne, America, as USF hosted WSC last season and sent the Wildcats home with a 24-14 loss.

Between the Numbers: TOPUSF has been making the most of meager possession time all season long. The Cougars average 32.8 points per game--sixth in the NSIC--and sit third in the league in total offense, at 479.9 yards per contest. They have already set a new record for offensive plays in a game while their five wins have been by an average of 23 points, but the Cougars have been on offense for 26:08 per game--USF's offensive players spend less time on the gridiron than any other team in the NSIC. The Cougars have only won the TOP battle three times this season (and are 2-1 in those games); SMSU (31:52-28:08), Augustana College (31:05-28:55) and Upper Iowa by the slimmest of margins (30:02-29:58). Minnesota-Duluth owned the clock in the season-opener for both teams (39:17-20:43) and opponents overall have amassed a TOP advantage of more than seven minutes (33:52-26:08).

Smith Shines Senior wide receiver/return specialist and Northern Iowa transfer
Wes Smith has made the most of his single season as a USF Cougar. The Georgia native has racked up 1,517 all-purpose yards to rank fourth in the NSIC, including a game-high 235 yards against Minnesota State. Smith hauled in 10 receptions for a career-best 180 receiving yards at Upper Iowa and has caught at least one pass in the Cougars' last seven contests. He ranks fourth on the team with four touchdowns.
