“Taylor is a game changer for us,” said Traphagen. “Her combination of strength and athleticism will help us immediately, but what really sets Taylor apart is her toughness and winning mentality.”

Varsho is a 5-6 guard who spent the 2012-13 season at Colorado State University where she averaged 3.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 22 appearances as a true freshman. She made an immediate impact for the Rams with 19 points and 10 rebounds for her first career double-double in the Ram's season-opener versus Montana State. Varsho also had a stellar performance in CSU's routing of South Dakota School of Mines, recording 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting, four rebounds, three assists and one steal. Total, Varsho made five starts for the Rams last season.

A native of Marshfield, Wis., Varsho prepped at Marshfield High School, where she ended her career as the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,364 points. A three-time all-state selection, she averaged a team-high 18.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest as a senior. Varsho was also named the Wisconsin Valley Conference Player of the Year in 2010-11 and 2011-12.

The Cougar women's basketball class of 2013 grows to five players, a group that features three guards and two post players. Brynn Flakus, Alyson Johnsen, Samantha Knecht and Katelyn Rushton each signed during the early period in February.
