SIOUX FALLS (February 4, 2015) -- University of Sioux Falls head football coach Jed Stugart announced today that 27 student-athletes have signed to play football with the Cougars and enroll at USF for classes in 2015.

"When we started out, we had specific needs that we wanted to address. As a staff we are excited that we were able to meet those needs with the quality of the recruits that signed with us," said Stugart. "The theme of this class is the high character, strong academic focus and highly motivated attributes of student-athletes that comprise this group," said Stugart.

As listed by position, the Cougars add to the roster four defensive linemen, six linebackers, four defensive backs, three offensive linemen, five running backs, one athlete, one tight end, one place-kicker and two quarterbacks.

This past fall, USF completed its most successful season in NCAA DII, finishing 11-1 with final national rankings of #16 in the D2football.com and #18 in the AFCA Poll. The Cougars, which recorded its 21st consecutive winning season, won the Mineral Water Bowl, 42-10 over Central Oklahoma. In all 11 wins, the Cougars won by double digit margins.
