SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Brady Rose and Trevor Wescott of the #4 University of Sioux Falls Football Team (9-0) have been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District III Team, according to an announcement today from CoSIDA.

Rose, a senior wide receiver from Cumberland, Wisc., and Wescott, a senior offensive center from Blue Springs, Mo., were among the 25 individuals named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. Rose is a repeat selection and was named second team Academic All-American as a junior in 2015.

The Academic All District Team, which honors the nation's outstanding student-athletes for performances in the classroom and athletically, consists of member institutions from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and the Great American Conference. The CoSIDA Academic All-District team was voted on by sports information directors from the member schools and conference offices from the region.

With their selection, Rose and Wescott advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot. Later this month, CoSIDA will announce its first, second and third team honorees.  

Rose, who has a 3.82 grade point average in business administration, is one of the best receivers in school history. Rose, who was named second team All-NSIC in 2015, ranks in the top six in catches with 175; sixth in receiving yards with 2,313 and 10th in TD catches with and catches with 18. During his career, he has caught, rushed and thrown for a TD. He has recorded 22 career TDs, including four by rushing, and has had 21 games with four catches or more.  Rose leads USF in receptions with 43 and receiving yards with 622. Against St. Cloud State, Rose set a career-best with 163 receiving yards and threw his first-ever TD pass, covering 39 yards. He also had a career-high 12 catches for 119 yards against Southwest Minnesota State.
 
Wescott, who has a 3.78 grade point average in business administration, is the leader on USF's offensive front. A three-year team captain, Wescott plays center and makes all the calls on the offensive line. Named All-NSIC a year ago, Wescott is part of an offensive line that has allowed just 14 sacks in 21 games, including 18 wins. A starter in 44 straight games, Wescott leads an offensive line that has helped USF produced the second best rushing average in NCAA DII at 346.4 yards per game and the third-ranked offense at 536.6 yards per game. He has allowed just one sack in the past two years, grading out at 97 percent with 45 knockdowns.
