SIOUX FALLS - Behind dominant all-around play from their middle blockers, University of Sioux Falls Volleyball swept MSU Moorhead, 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-19), on Friday night for their third straight win. Jordan Calef and Lexi Scott controlled teh match fromt eh middle of the floor, combining for 27 kills and posting 9 blocks.

The Cougars raced out to a 12-5 lead and after a quick burst from the Dragons (6-8, 1-5 NSIC), Scott took over with three kills as USF finished on a 13-4 run.

In the second set, USF faced a touch more adversity, but it was Scott's middle blocker counterpart, who began to step up. Calef, a senior from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, started her tear and would reach double figures in kills by the time the Cougars had taken a 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-18 second-set win. Calef had six kills in the second set and two of USF's five blocks in the set.

The Cougars were sluggish in the third set, but pulled away late, for a 25-19 victory, again behind their middle blockers. USF fell behind 7-3 and were kept at that distance before going on an eight-point run. Down 14-11, Scott and Makenna Rockeman connected on two kills each and while Scott added two more points with solo blocks to fuel the Cougar run. Calef added two of the final three USF points with a pair of kills and Rockeman closed the match with her third service ace of the night.
