FREE South Dakota Junior Football Cougar Kids Day: This one-day camp will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 10 am to noon at Bob Young Field for boys and girls in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. The USF Football staff and team members will serve as instructors at the Cougars Kids Day event, which allows young athletes to develop and learn techniques at all positions. This event emphasizes the learning of football skills and principles that can be carried over to all sports. Attire needed includes shirts, shoes and shorts.
Cougar Youth Camp: From June 4-6, this camp will run from 8 a.m. to noon each day at Bob Young Field. A high-energy non-contact camp, boys and girls in grades kindergarten through eighth grade will be able to develop and learn techniques at all positions from USF coaches and football players. The camp emphasizes the learning of football skills and principles that can be carried over to all sports. Campers will also learn the value of teamwork while competing in the camp favorite "Coo Ball." Attire needed includes shirts, shoes and shorts.
Coo Ball Camp: This one-day camp will run from 8 a.m. to noon on June 7. This camp is dedicated solely to the camp favorite "Coo Ball." Campers will be split up into teams and compete for the "Coo Ball" championship. Attire needed includes shirts, shoes and shorts.
Dad's Night under the Lights: This father/child camp will be a one-day event, starting with registration at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 7 at Bob Young Field. The camp will focus on instructing participants about football skills and techniques. Fathers and campers will be able to demonstrate the value of teamwork as they compete together in various football-related drills and "Coo Ball." Attire needed includes shirts, shoes and shorts.
Prospect Camp: Two sessions (June 10, June 13) of this one-day camp at Bob Young Field will be held for 9-12 grade students, who will be instructed on individual techniques at various positions. Run and pass fundamentals will also be part of the learning session from the USF Football staff. Fundamentals and techniques taught will be applied to one-on-one situations in camp competitions. This camp is a great opportunity for prospective student-athletes to be evaluated by the USF coaching staff. Campers should bring a helmet, chin strap, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, jersey, shorts and cleats. Helmets and shoulder pads will be available to rent at camp check-in. Camper will receive a USF t-shirt and lunch.
