SIOUX FALLS – Due to the recent weather, University of Sioux Falls Softball's doubleheader at Concordia-St. Paul has been moved indoors to the West St. Paul Dome and game one is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17. The Cougars (24-11, 9-3 NSIC) are coming off a doubleheader split at Wayne State last Wednesday and the weekend weather forced their series with University of Mary and Minot State to be canceled.

Thompson reached 150 career wins in fifth season
With four straight seasons of 30 or more wins entering this season, fifth-year head coach
Kelsey Thompson picked up her 150th win when the Cougars defeated Wayne State, 9-6, in game one of their doubleheader last week. In the midst of a weather-shortened season, Thompson is still on pace for her fifth consecutive 30-win season as a head coach with 24 this season. Entering Tuesday's doubleheader at Concordia-St. Paul, Thompson has a 150-99 record, a .602 winning percentage as a head coach. She has qualified the Cougars for the NSIC Tournament each season with three winning NSIC records and all four .500 or better.
Series history vs. Concordia-St. Paul
With a seven-game winning streak in tow, Sioux Falls enters their NSIC doubleheader with a 10-2 edge in the series. The Cougars picked off CSP three times, all in exciting fashion. USF and Concordia-St. Paul combined for nine runs in the eighth and ninth innings of a non-conference game, and USF held a final edge, 6-5, for the victory. During the regular season, pitcher
Kerrigan Hoshaw made history, recording the first perfect game in USF's Division II history. Hoshaw struck out four batters and retired all 15 she faced as Sioux Falls defeated the Golden Bears, 8-0, in five innings. In the third meeting of the season, USF and CSP were tied 1-1 entering the seventh. Concordia-St. Paul broke a tie with a run in the top half of the inning then USF responded, scoring the game-winning run on an error.
Although Tuesday's doubleheader won't be played at CSP's Carlander Field, the Cougars are 2-0 in road games against the Golden Bears. USF swept the 2016 doubleheader, 9-3 and 6-0, and swept the 2014 twinbill, 6-4 and 8-0, which was played in Twin Cities suburb, Savage, Minn. In her career as head coach of the Cougars, Thompson is 9-1 against Concordia-St. Paul, losing the 2014 meeting with CSP, which eliminated the Cougars from the NSIC Tournament.
