Box Score SIOUX FALLS—The University of Sioux Falls Soccer Team (1-5-0, 0-3-0 NSIC) fell to cross city rival Augustana (3-1-1, 2-0-0 NSIC), 4-0, in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference road action on Sunday.
USF had several opportunities to end its scoring drought which has extended to two matches. The Cougars totaled 11 shots throughout the contest, seven of which came in the first half.
USF's offense was led by junior
Lauren LaFavre, who attacked the Augustana defense with four shots, two of which were on goal. LaFavre has a team-leading 16 shots on the season with a shot on goal percentage of .500.

Augustana opened the scoring at 36:04 when Alexis Legg tallied a score off an assist from Carlie Kray. In a tough defensive first half, USF trailed, 1-0, at the break. The Vikings took control in the second half, scoring a pair of goals over a five-minute span (63:22-to-68:19) for a 3-0 lead. Legg added her second goal of the match, off an assist by Katie Ortgies, at 63:22. AU, which held an 8-0 lead in corner kicks, added to their lead when Julie Plonsky scored on an assist from Claire Dahm. AU added another goal at 71:10 as Carlie Kray tallied the final goal of the match off an assist from Claire Dahm.
USF junior goalkeeper
Brayden Paul accumulated nine saves during the match, pushing her season save total to 36 in six games.
USF soccer will host MSU Moorhead (1-4-0, 1-2-0 NSIC) on Friday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m., at the USF Soccer Complex.
