The ninth-year GLVC member started the season with a 60-33 loss to the Northern Michigan Wildcats (1-1) before coming back Sunday and getting a key 75-71 win over the Michigan Tech Huskies (1-1), a team receiving votes to be nationally ranked.

Kiara Bradley has led the offense on the young season, averaging 9.5 points per game. Sydney Offield and Macyn Wilbers have also been a crucial part in the offense, averaging 5.5 points per game a piece. Rachel Schon has spearheaded the Cardinal defense, recording 14 rebounds already in two games.

Chadron State Eagles (1-1)-
For the third straight year, Chadron State, led by fourth-year Janet Raymer, has faced the Texas A&M International Dust Devils (2-2) and Texas A&M Kingsville Javelina (1-1) in an early-season series. For the second straight year, the Eagles won their first game against the Dust Devils (66-63) before falling to the Javelina (63-57).

The Eagles will have to clean up their game before they face a very daunting Cougar team, as CSC has already recorded 47 team turnovers, including two players in double digits. The Cougars a year ago, who lost only one player and returned multiple key players from injury, forced 17.4 turnovers per game. The Cougars were also able to capitalize on those opportunities, averaging 19.1 points per game off turnovers.

Cougars go bird hunting (the history)-
The Cougars and Cardinals had faced each other one time prior, with the Cougars winning their Nov. 19, 2016 match by the score of 68-53. USF has also had success in their previous two games against the Eagles, beating CSC 78-60 two years ago at the Stewart Center, and a 90-44 victory at the Chicoine Center in 2018.

Sioux Falls Cougars (23-8, 16-6 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in 2018-19)-
