BURNSVILLE, Minn. — The University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball team, under the direction of 12th-year head coach, Travis Traphagen, had an individual honor bestowed upon them, with redshirt junior Anna Goodhope earning the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) South Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Goodhope helped guide the Cougars to a 2-0 start on the season, averaging 18 points and 5.5 rebounds. In addition to the averages, Goodhope shot 53.8 percent from field goal (14-for-26), and 57.1 percent (4-for-7) from beyond the arc. In USF's game against Chadron State, Goodhope went a perfect 3-for-3 from the charity stripe in USF's perfect night at the line (12-for-12).
Against William Jewell, Goodhope scored 21 points to help push the Cougars to the 77-62 win over the Cardinals.
Goodhope will look to keep the hot shooting going when Emporia State, who is receiving one vote more than USF in Tuesday's Coaches Poll, comes to the Stewart Center on Tuesday.
