Women's Basketball ranked No. 18 in latest WBCA Poll

LILBURN, Ga.— The University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball team (9-2) remained in the Top 20 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll released on Tuesday after this weekend's action.

The Cougars were at home this past weekend, hosting Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State. Against a sturdy Duluth squad, the Cougars fell behind by as much as 19, but fought back and got to within eight in the 10-point loss to the Bulldogs. USF had another tough match against St. Cloud State on Saturday, a game that would end in a double overtime heartbreaker for the Cougars.

Sioux Falls, who sat at No. 7 this week, were one of two Top 10 squads to fall out of the Top 15, moving down to No. 18. The Cougars will be back in action this week when Truman State comes to town for the final non-conference game for USF on Wednesday, then travel with the men's team to Marshall, Minn., to take on travel partner Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday.
