BURNSVILLE, Minn. – For the first time in her career, sophomore
Alex Nutter has been selected as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Athlete of the Week, according to an announcement by the league office.

With the selection of Nutter, USF Women's Golf now has had six student-athletes earn NSIC Golfer of the Week honors.
Kami Love, was honored on March 21, 2017 and
Lexi Hanson earned three times, including on March 14, 2017 as well on Sept. 6, 2018 and March 14, 2019. They join current assistant coach
Tavia Rutherford, who was selected for the NSIC honor on Sept. 17, 2014 while a member of the USF Women's Team.
By carding a two-round total of 154 (75-79), Nutter finished in a tie for 16
th with two Central Oklahoma golfers to help the Cougars finish in a 10
th place tie at the Central Region Meet, which was held at the Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo.
With rounds a career-best round of 75 and a round of 79, Nutter's total of 154 at the Central Region Meet was not only the low score by a USF golfer but also among the NSIC golfers at the competition. She also tied her career best round of 154 (76-78), when she placed seventh at the Augustana Invite on Sept. 25-26, 2018. Nutter, has had five top-10 and eight top 20 finishes individually. She has nine career sub-80 rounds.
USF Women's Golf will compete at the Augustana Invitational, which has been scheduled for April 19-20 (originally April 13-14) at Prairie Green in Sioux Falls, due to weather issues this week.
