USF Women's Basketball will host several camps this summer, including Elite Camp on Aug. 3

Junior Coo Camp, Lady Cougars Skills Camp set for June 17-19 with Team Camp on June 20

SIOUX FALLS – University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball head coach Travis Traphagen has announced the schedule for the USF Women's Basketball camps this summer. The Cougars' women's staff and players will host three camps later in June (17-20) with the USF Elite Camp set for August 3. Opportunities are available for all ages and skill levels.

The USF Women's Basketball staff commits to giving young players an opportunity to learn new skills and further develop in a fun and educational environment. The camps are focused on teaching campers fundamentals of the game while stressing important topics like sportsmanship and teamwork, and most of all create a challenging, fun, and memorable experience for all campers.
 
USF Women's Basketball players will work side by side with the campers, showcasing some of the drills they use in practice and to serve as role models for the young players in the community.  All four camps will be held in the air conditioned Stewart Center on the campus of the University of Sioux Falls. 
 
Listed below are the dates and age ranges for the 2018 USF Women's Basketball Camps. Each camp includes a t-shirt with registration.
  • Junior Coo Camp (Boys & Girls K-3rd grade, covering all aspects of basketball), June 17-19, 9-11 a.m., registration cost - $50
  • Lady Cougar Skills Camp (Girls only, 4th-8th grade, covers shooting fundamentals, passing, dribbling, defense, rebounding and team play), June 17-19, 1:00-3:30 p.m., registration cost - $50
  • USF Team Camp (One Day Camp - 3 game guarantee, Girls Varsity & Junior Varsity Divisions), Thursday, June 20, team registration, $250
  • USF Elite Camp (Girls 9th-12th grade, covers basic basketball fundamentals, defense, rebounding and competitive play), Saturday, August 3, 10-12:30 p.m., registration cost - $50. This camp was originally set for June 21 but moved to August 3.
