AUBURNDALE, Fla. – Junior shortstop
Grant Lung hit a bases loaded run-scoring single as the University of Sioux Falls Baseball Team (5-8) wrapped up its Florida trip with a walk-off win against No. 7 Ashland (8-3) on Tuesday (March 10). It was USF's biggest win since knocking off then No. 1 Augustana in 2018.
Breaking down the stats - With the victory, USF ended the Florida trip with a 4-3 record to improve to 5-8 on the season. Sophomore outfielder
Connor King led USF with three hits in six at bats with three RBI. He had a triple and two singles as he finished the Florida trip with a .522 average on 12 hits in 23 at bats. In the seven games, he had a team-high eight RBI, stole five bases, drew eight walks and had a .636 OBP.As for Lung, he added two hits in five at bats with the game-winning RBI. Freshman outfielder

Ryan Bernardy both had doubles and run scored with Bernardy also supplying an RBI. Overall USF hit .276 on the trip with a .416 OBP and 45 RBI. On the mound USF pitchers had a 5.33 era with 47 strikeouts against 20 walks.
Throwing win stuff - Alex Krout (2-0) earned the win after throwing four innings and allowing just four hits with a run while recording a strikeout and walking a batter. Of his 57 pitches to 16 batters, Krout, who dropped his season era to 3.44, threw 38 strikes. He was the third of three USF pitchers.
Matt Graham started and working three innings as he allowed five hits and three earned run with two strikeouts. He was replaced by redshirt freshman
Andrew Maslowski who had a strong relief outing by working three innings and allowing just one hit with four strikeouts and walking two batters. Of his 49 pitches, Maslowski had 28 strikes.
Game Summary - USF, which had six runs on nine hits and two errors, rallied from a 4-0 deficit to win in walk-off style. After Ashland put up four runs in the second, USF pushed a rush across in the sixth inning and used a pair of errors and a walk to draw within 5-2 after

Tyler Blackburn drew a lead-off walk. With one out,
Trey Hubers and King followed with singles to right field which loaded the bases. Then, Lung came through in the clutch with a game-winning base hit to left field as USF prevailed 6-5.
