SIOUX FALLS - The No. 24 University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball Team invites USF fans and supporters to join them for the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Selection Show on Sunday, March 8 at 8:30 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings (2601 South Louise Ave, Sioux Falls).
At the selection show event, the Cougars will find out their opponent and destination as the NCAA unveils matchups for the NCAA DII Central Region Tournament set for March 13-14, 16. The Watch Party will be a come and go event from 8:30-9:30 pm in the Buffalo Wild Wing upstairs seating area. Food and beverages will not be provided by USF.
The selection show begins at 9 p.m. and will be
streamed on NCAA.com, but fans are encouraged to join the women's basketball team and the USF Athletics department at 8:30 p.m.
Sioux Falls, which was ranked third in the NCAA DII Central Regional rankings released on March 4, won the NSIC South Division title and advanced to the NSIC Tournament semifinals for the fifth straight season. With a 17-5 league mark, USF, directed by all-time wins leader Head Coach
Travis Traphagen matched the 2015-16 team for the best league mark in the program's DII history. With 26 wins, the Cougars, which has been ranked a program-DII-best 10 times in the WBCA & D2SIDA national polls, have the second most wins in the DII era and just behind the 2015-16 team which was 27-6.
