Box Score SIOUX FALLS – In the 17
th match of the season, the Sioux Falls Soccer Team fell to Concordia St.Paul 3-0 in NSIC action on Sunday afternoon at Sea Foam Stadium in St. Paul, MN.
It was right before the fourth minute of the match when CSP got on the board early on a penalty kick which was successful by Katie Anderson. The Golden Bears ended up striking against just before the half in the 43
rd minute when Jessica Timpane assisted on a goal scored by Jena Berkland. The Cougars ended the half trailing 2-0 vs Concordia St. Paul.
Holli Knudsen ended the half with 5 saves, facing 16 shots.
The Cougars and Golden Bears exchanged field position for a good part of the 2
nd half, it was in the 79
th minute when Bethany Weller assisted on a goal scored by Nikki Anderson to put the Golden Bears up 3-0 against the Cougars. The 3-0 score ended the 90 minutes of play and the match on Sunday afternoon.
The Cougars had three shots on the day on the feet of
Sarah Miller,
Kassidy Graber, and
Aundria Vargas. On the defensive side of the ball,
Holli Knudsen faced 24 shots on the day, ending the match with 10 saves on 13 shots on goal.
The Cougars (3-11-3, 3-8-3) will be back in action on November 5
th when have their last match of the season at home vs Southwest Minnesota State at the USF Sports Complex with a 5 p.m. start time.
