South leader USF WBB receiving votes in WBCA DII National Poll for 2nd straight week

SIOUX FALLS – For the second straight week, the University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball Team (7-2), which leads the NSIC South Division, is receiving votes in the second WBCA Division II National Poll, which was released today (Feb. 9, 2021).

The Cougars, which received 26 points in the national poll, stand 7-2 overall and is scheduled to travel to face city rival Augustana on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 12-13 at the Sanford Pentagon. Game time will be 7 pm on Friday and 3 pm on Saturday. Breaking out the DII poll by points, USF is ranked No. 28.

USF, which won the NSIC South a year ago (26-6, 17-5 NSIC) and earned its second ever DII regional bid,  ranks third in the league in scoring at 72.7 points per game and fifth in scoring margin at 8.8. USF is third in rebounding at 43.0 and third in offensive boards at 13.6 per game. Junior Anna Brecht ranks second in the NSIC with 18.7 points while junior guard Dallie Hoskinson leads the NSIC with 9.1 rebounds per game.
