BURNSVILLE, MINN. -- For the ninth time in her career and the fourth time this year, senior
Lexi Hanson of the University of Sioux Falls Women's Golf Team, who won her third career title at the Augustana Spring Invite on April 18, has been selected the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Golfer of the Week, according to an announcement today (April 19) by the league office.

Along with Hanson's nine
NSIC weekly honors, USF Women's Golf now has had 14 student-athletes earn
NSIC Golfer of the Week honors.
Kami Love, was honored on March 21, 2017 and Hanson earned the honor on March 14, 2017 as well on Sept. 6, 2018, Sept. 27, 2019, March 14, 2019; March 12, 2020 and March 10, 2021, March 17, 2021, March 31, 2021, and April 19, 2021, while
Maggie Veenendall was honored on April 14 while
Lexi Jonas was honored Oct. 2, 2019 and
Alex Nutter was honored April 10, 2019. They join current Head Coach
Tavia Rutherford, who was selected on Sept. 17, 2014 while a member of the USF Women's Team.
At the Augustana Spring Invite on April 18, Hanson won her third career title by carding a four-over par 148 (73-75), which was her best mark of the season. With Hanson earning medalist honors, the USF Women's Team won their first title of the season and have finished in the top-five in four of the past five tournaments this spring.
With Hanson leading the charge, the Cougars led from start to finish as they finished at 36-over par 612 (306-306) and placed three of the top four individuals at the tournament, which was held at Elmwood GC in Sioux Falls.
The senior from
Chanhassen, Minnesota, who has been named the
NSIC Preseason Golfer of the Year, recorded her 20th career top-10 finish and 12th top-five finish. Hanson has 29 top-20 and three individual titles during her stellar career at USF.

NSIC average scoring leader from a year ago, the three-time Academic
All-NSIC, two-time NCAA DII All-Region and two-time
All-NSIC performer leads USF with a 76.93 scoring average with a low round of 73 (Augustana Spring Invite). In seven events this year, she has a title, three top-five (two runner-up finishes) and four top-10 efforts.
Hanson and her teammates will next compete at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships on April 23-25 at the Dacotah Ridge Golf Club in Morton, Minn.
