Univ. of Minnesota Duluth (0-7, 0-4)
The Bulldogs, under the direction of 28th year head coach Greg Cane, the Bulldogs are currently winless but have played a lot of closely contested matches in the competitive NSIC schedule. UMD has played a lot of tough opponents in the early going of the season and are working towards finding their first win on the season this upcoming weekend. UMD have three players leading the team after seven matches; Lauren Singstock, Jackie Jares, and Emilia McGiffert who combine for all of the goals and four of the team's nine points early on in the season. On the defensive side of the ball, goalkeeper Sophia Grenz has played all but 45 minutes this season has started and played all seven contests and has 45 saves and faced 110 shots with a save percentage of .703.

St. Cloud State (2-3-1, 2-1-1)
The Huskies, under the direction of 8th year head coach Gretta Arvesen, SCSU has played six contests and come away victorious in two of the six matches and has a winning record in conference play thus far. On the season, the Huskies are led by Nicole Friis, Jenna Dominguez, and Karlie Valdez who have 15 points combined of the 19 points the Huskies have had after six matches. On the defensive end, Evie Kohn has played all 560 minutes, facing 70 shots (21 saves) and a save percentage of .724.

Cougars Corner:
The Cougars are 1-6 on the season under the direction of seventh-year coach Brittany Domino. Despite some close contests not going the Cougars way, they have battled injuries and played some competitive matches late into games. The Cougars most recently lost, 2-1, to Minot State who is leading the NSIC standings. The Cougars began their season facing off against three MIAA conference opponents in Northwest Missouri State, Fort Hays State, and most recently against Rogers State (Okla.) in a match played in Omaha, Nebraska. They began conference play and have played deep into matches while finding their identity with the young roster they have at USF. Aundria Vargas leads the teams with eight shots, followed by Grace Held (5). On the defensive end, the goalkeepers have 70 saves from Alexis Wemhoff (31), Caroline Titze (21) and Holli Knudsen (18).

"We have a pretty young group and I have confidence we will bounce back this week and learn from the mistakes we made in last Sunday's loss," Head Coach Brittany Domino said.
