Sioux Falls, SD - USF Soccer drops Sunday's match to Bemidji State by a score of 4-1.
The Cougars took on Bemidji State with a start time of 1 p.m. today. The Cougars struck first on the foot of Addison Westermeyer in the 12th minute of play. Aundria Vargas with the nice pass to Westemeyer to take a 1-0 lead. The Beavers put in the equalizer just a minute later to make it 1-1 through the first 45 minutes of play. Holli Knudsen faced 16 first half shots with eight saves.
As the 2nd half got underway, the scored in the 55th, 61st, and 85th minutes of the match to take a 4-1 lead on Sunday afternoon. USF goalkeeper Holli Knudsen faced 31 shots on the day with a total of 12 saves. The Cougars ended the day with six shots, led by Mara Parker with two and Kelsey Oswald, Sarah Miller, Julia Kreutner, and Addison Westermeyer each with one apiece in the match. USF is back in action on on Friday October 21 when they'll head to Minnesota State-Mankato for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
