BURNSVILLE – The NSIC released their 2022 Football All-Conference selections today with two Cougars being named to the NSIC South Division First Team and five to the NSIC South Division Second Team.
NSIC South Division All-Conference First Team
Thuro Reisdorfer earned his spot on the NSIC Offensive All-Conference team once again with 1,362 rushing yards on the season and 18 touchdowns. Reisdorfer finished his career with 3,728 rushing yards and 47 touchdowns while sitting fourth in USF All-Time rushing yards and first in USF DII rushing yards. He leads the NSIC in rushing yards on the season as well as scoring and touchdown scoring. Reisdorfer put up 108 points on the season averaging 9.8 points a game.
Zach Durfee was named to this year's NSIC Defensive All-Conference team with 28 tackles on the season, 13.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks. Durfee sits fifth in the NSIC in tackles for loss and third in sacks as a freshman. He forced a loss of 43 yards in sacks and a loss of 47 yards in tackles for loss.
NSIC South Division All-Conference Second Team
Brennan Moran, Jasper Parks and Ethan Wittenburg were all named to the NSIC Second Team Offensive list following this season. Moran and Parks both made a huge impact on the offensive side of the ball this season helping USF tally 2,435 rushing yards and 2,236 passing yards on the year. Wittenburg, a Winona State transfer, spent one season with the team and was USFs leading receiver this season. He tallied 793 yards off 44 catches averaging 72.09 yards a game. Wittenburg also pulled in 6 touchdowns for the Cougars with a season high game of 134 yards against Augustana
Cam Alfaro and Amaurii Grosskopf earned NSIC Second Team Defensive honors for the Cougars. Alfaro led the Cougars all season in tackles and ended the season with 47 total; 33 solo and 14 assisted. He also pulled in three interceptions for the Coo. Grosskopf was USFs Defensive Player to Watch this season and he led the defensive line in tackles with 31 on the year. As a force in the backfield, Grosskopf picked up 9 tackles for a loss of 39 yards and 3.5 sacks for a loss of 27 yards on the season.
