USF Basketball Adds Five on National Signing Day

SIOUX FALLS – The University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball program, and head coach Travis Traphagen, are excited to announce the addition of five athletes on National Signing Day.

"I'm super excited about this 2023 recruiting class! We signed almost every position along with great length and athleticism with this class. All of these players come from winning programs and I think they will all have success early in their USF careers."

The members of the 2023 class include: Ayla Brown, Brooklyn Harpe, Hannah Harpe, Danielle Minsaas and Kamryn (Kami) Wadsworth.

Ayla Brown, Guard, Becker, MN / Becker High School

Ayla comes to USF from Becker, MN where she played basketball for Becker High School. Brown has played 81 games for the Bulldogs while averaging 8.2 points per game along with 2.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds a game. While tallying 668 points thus far in her career, Brown has shot .520 percent from the field and .390 from beyond the arch.

Brooklyn Harpe, Guard, Sioux Falls, SD / Washington High School 

A local star, Brooklyn is joining the Cougars and staying home in Sioux Falls. She attended Washington High School where she played soccer and basketball for the Warriors. She was a four year letter winner in soccer, and received All-Metro Conference Honorable Mention as a senior. Harpe was also a four year letter winner in basketball and a two-time All-Metro Conference First Team selection. She averaged 11 points per game for the Warriors and played AAU for South Dakota Network. Harpe averaged 6.1 rebounds per game along with 2 assists a game while shooting 38.7% beyond the arch and 54.8% from the field. Brooklyn is the daughter of Michelle and Daniel, and plans to study Biology on a Pre-Med track at USF.

Hannah Harpe, Small Forward/Wing, Sioux Falls, SD / Washington High School 

Another local star, Hannah is staying home in Sioux Falls to join her sister and the Cougars. She attended Washington High School where she played soccer and basketball for the Warriors. Harpe was a three year letter winner in both sports. In basketball, she averaged 4.8 points per game and played AAU for South Dakota Network. Harpe averaged 1 block a game along with 2.9 assists a game. Hannah is also the daughter of Michelle and Daniel, and plans to study Biology on a Pre-Med track at USF.

Danielle Minsaas, Guard, Chili, WI / Marshfield High School 

Danielle comes to USF from Chili, Wisconsin where she attended Marshfield High School. For the Tigers she participated in basketball and track and field. Minsaas has averaged 12.3 points per game along with 3.2 steals and 3.7 rebounds a game. In the off season, she plays basketball for the Wisconsin Playmakers Showcase South team out of La Crosse, WI. Minsaas comes to USF as a dual sport athlete in basketball and track & field. The daughter of Vivian and Marty, Danielle plans to double major in Criminal Justice and Political Science this fall. 

Kamryn Wadsworth, Forward, Hayti, SD / Hamlin High School

Kamryn joins the Cougars from Hayti, South Dakota where she attended Hamlin High School. For the Chargers, she participated in basketball, volleyball, cheer, and track and field. Wadsworth is coming to USF as a dual sport athlete in basketball and track & field. The daughter of Michelle and Travis, Kamryn plans to study Elementary Education at USF.
