SIOUX FALLS – The University of Sioux Falls and head coach Jim Glogowski are proud to announce the addition of Carlton Littlejohn as the next assistant coach of Cougar Football. Littlejohn will be in charge of the linebackers while at USF.
"I am really excited that Carlton Littlejohn is joining our staff here at USF," said Coach Glogowski. "I have gotten to know Carlton over the past few seasons and I've been impressed. He is a detailed and organized individual with a true passion for linebacker play."
Littlejohn, originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, joins the Cougars following a five year stint at Minnesota State University – Moorhead. While with the Dragons, Littlejohn served as a defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.
Before joining the Dragons, Littlejohn was a special team's coordinator and linebackers coach at Jamestown University followed by a year at Gustavus Adolphus as a defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.
Prior to his coaching career, Littlejohn was a first team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference selection for the North Dakota State University Bison. Currently, he sits fourth in all-time tackles at NDSU with 345 tackles throughout his career. Littlejohn was a key part in the Bison defense of which was ranked in the top 10 nationally in multiple categories. Littlejohn made 43 starts for the Bison as a part of four straight Missouri Valley Football Conference championships as well as four NCAA Division I FCS national championships.
