Weekend Preview
• The University of Sioux Falls Softball Team (13-13) continues NSIC play tomorrow in a site-reversal game, heading up to St. Paul, MN to take on the Concordia St. Paul Bears.
• The game times are now 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
• In the last matchup, USF beat CSP by a score of 4-2 on May 8, 2021   
• The all-time series, USF has won 13 of 18 matchups, the longest win streak being seven games.

USF Season
• USF finished with a 12-9 non-conference record before NSIC play started last week.
• USF had a nine game win streak during the Florida trip where they went undefeated and most recently split a doubleheader in the first NSIC matchup against SMSU earlier this week.
• The Spring Games tournament in Florida, USF hit an impressive .342 as a team, averaging just over eight runs a game. From the circle, USF pitchers had limited opponents to 29 runs and a combined 2.92 ERA between Hanna Cress, Kait Van Der Zwaag, Bailee Lampman, and Kennedy Thomas
• On the season, USF has 51 extra base hits, 18 home runs (led by Kait Van Der Zwaag with seven and Kylie Madrid with five) for the Cougars. Resulting in 110 RBI and 131 runs scored.
• USF has six individuals hitting over .300 on the season through 26 games.
• Senior Kylie Madrid is leading the Cougars with a .384 average and an impressive 1.105 OPS on 33 hits through 26 games. Madrid was named the NSIC player of the week for the first time in her career (Week of March 7).

"The start of the conference season is always exciting as it is the second of the three parts that we break our big spring season into. During the non-conference portion of our season our team has gelled and grown in many ways - on and off the field - developing trust and working daily to be the best person, teammate, and player we can be. We had a pretty successful preseason, learning from our wins and losses, and feel that it will provide us with many valuable experiences to use during the NSIC regular season. We know the NSIC will again be challenging this season and have the most respect for all the teams across the best league in the country. I know our kids are excited and ready for the challenge - we can't wait to continue this 30-game stretch!" said Head Coach Shannon Pivovar.
