"It was a really good experience for Maggie. This was her first time playing in the regional tournament and she showed she can play with the best in the region." Said Head Coach Wade Merry, "Her second round was a top ten score that day, it's great play like that which got her here. We're confident she'll make it to this stage again and now she has the experience to share with her teammates. Our hope is to have a whole team here next year."

Maggie was the only NSIC representative outside of the conference champion team, Augustana, at the event. The junior placed higher than two Augustana golfers and was only three strokes away from two more. Her second round three-over 75 was the 9th best score that day.

Only the top three teams advance from the regional, this year those teams were regional champion Henderson State, Central Missouri, and Rogers State. The top two finishing individuals not on qualifying teams also advance to Nationals, those golfers were Morgan Brasser of Fort Hays State and Allycia Gan of Missouri Western State.
