USF Soccer ends in a draw on Sunday afternoon

Minot, ND - USF Soccer ends in a draw on Sunday afternoon by a score of 0-0 against Minot State.

The Cougars kicked off on Sunday at 12 p.m. and ended the day in a draw against Minot State. USF's Holli Knudsen faced 12 shots in the first half of the match, with five save to keep the score tied at 0-0 after the first half of play.

As the 2nd half got underway, a lot of back and forth in the middle of the field kept the defense on it's heels, countering the Minot attack for most of the afternoon. USF faced eight corner kicks on the day and Holli Knudsen faced 19 second half shots for a total of 31 with 13 saves for her 2nd shutout of the season. The Cougars had six shots for the day led by Aundria Vargas and Hannah Welch with two shots apiece. Selah Tabbert and Sarah Miller each had a shot of their own on the day.

The Cougars are back in action on Friday September 23rd when they'll return home to Bob Young Field to face off against the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
