SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – USF Cougar Volleyball picked up a sweep of Minnesota State tonight. The Coo took down the Mavericks 3-0 in Mankato.
The Cougars came out of the gate hot winning the first set 25-11, hitting .565 in the set. USF then took the next two sets 25-23 to take the match.
Middle Jordan Kuper led USF in kills with 12. Sadie Voss and Kyleigh Tangen each chipped in 11 kills as well to keep pace with Kuper. USF hit .351 overall during the match.
Liz Kopp led the Coo in aces with 3 and Elise Gillen also added 2 aces herself. Kuper also paced the team in blocks with 4. Jordyn Hamm chipped in 2 blocks as well.
Elise Gillen paced the team in assists with 40. Caitlin Kellner and Sadie Voss each had 9 digs in the match and Elise Gillen added 7 herself.
USF dominated the Mavericks in many categories. The Coo won in kills 48-31, aces 6-2, assists 44-28, and digs 39-25.

The Cougars will return home this weekend to host Augustana in their Alumni Day match on Saturday, October 14 at 2pm. The match will start at 2:00PM in the Stewart Center on the campus of the University of Sioux Falls.
