MOORHEAD, MINN. – Cougar Volleyball hit the road and swept Minnesota State Moorhead in their first match of the weekend. The Coo took the match 3-0 with scores of 25-19, 25-14, and 25-10
The Cougars hit .402 in the match compared to Moorhead only hitting .057. Jordan Kuper led the way for USF with 16 kills and was followed by Sadie Voss who had 10 and Kyleigh Tangen with 8.
Elise Gillen recorded 3 aces on the day. Jordan Kuper and Liz Kopp each added 3 to USF's ace total. Jordyn Hamm led the way in blocks with 4 while Kuper and Tangen each added 3.
Gillen was also the Coo's leading assist getter with 39 for the match. Senior Caitlin Kellner paced USF with 14 digs while Voss and Tangen each pitched in 6.
The Coo were able to dominate a lot of the statistical categories in this match. They had more aces 8-2, kills 45-24, blocks 9-5, and assists 41-24.
The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow as they head to Aberdeen to take on (RV)Northern State. This match will take place at 2:00PM in Wachs Arena on the campus of Northern State.
