BURNSVILLE, MINN. – The NSIC announced their week five athletes of the week earlier today with USF freshman Alessia Moro earning Swimmer of the Week honors.

Moro is the second USF swimmer to earn conference honors this season after Valerie Childs picked up the honor earlier this month. After claiming first in two events this past weekend, Moro set a USF school record in the 1000 freestyle with a B cut time of 10:20.25 and currently sits fourth in all of NCAA Division II and leads the NSIC in this event.

The Cougars went 4-2 on the weekend with dual wins over MSU Moorhead and Northern State on Friday and Saturday. USF proves to be a dominance in the pool as they continue to build momentum and currently rank No. 1 in the conference, according to SwimCloud dual rankings, with 609.85 Points on the season.
