Sioux Falls, SD. – The University of Sioux Falls Soccer team won their match against Winona State tonight. They defeated the Warriors 2-1 with both Cougars goals coming after the 80th minute.
· Northern outshot USF 26-11 with 10 of those being on goal. USF had 7 shots on goal with two of those shots being the deciding factor. Sarah Miller got the Coo going with a goal in the 80th minute. Mara Parker won the game for the Cougars with her goal in the 87th minute.
· The Cougars Delani Doubman made 9 saves while the Winona keeper only had 4. Winona also had more corners than USF 10-4. Hannah Welch and Alivia Tindall were the only two Cougars to go all 90 minutes.
This match moves the Cougars to 2-5-2 on the season. The Coo will be back in action Sunday October 8 in Sioux Falls, SD. They take on Southwest Minnesota State at 1:00PM. This game will take place at Bob Young Field out at the USF Sports Complex.
