Pittsburg, KS. – The University of Sioux Falls Baseball team dropped 2 games today at Al Ortolani Field in Pittsburg, KS. Metropolitan State University of Denver bested the Cougars by a score of 21-11 and Pitt State won 23-2.
WHAT HAPPENED
· The Cougars fought to the end, but a 6 run 3rd and 4 run 5th inning proved to be too much to overcome against MSU Denver
· The Cougar pitching staff was led by Jack Gray with 5 strikeouts.
· Pitt State jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the 1st and five runs in the 2nd inning.
SIOUX FALLS LEADERS
· The Coo were led in game 1 by Brady Klehr who went 4-4 with 4 RBI.
· Each Cougar position player ended up scoring a run. Tyler Cate and Ben Serie led the team scoring 2 runs apiece.
· Noah Christenson and Tyler Cate led the Cougars with two hits in the second game against Pitt State.

The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow! The Coo take on MSU Denver in Pittsburg, KS. Game starts at Noon and is being played at Al Ortolani Field.
