OWASSO – The University of Sioux Falls Men's Golf team closes the first round of the Hillcat Classic in 7^th place. Gavin Metz and Mason Weeks both sit in the top 20.
 
Led by Metz & Weeks, the Cougars closed round 1 at 26-over par with a score of 314 placing them in 7^th. Metz returned to the tee after not playing for the Cougars in the Fall and immediately showed he is still one of USF's best. In his first round back Metz carded a four-over 76 which tied him with the Cougars top golfer from the Fall, Mason Weeks. Weeks closed the first round with a birdie to place him t-17^th overall on the par 72 course.
