St. George, KS. – The University of Sioux Falls Baseball team lost to Minot State today 17-4.
WHAT HAPPENED
· The Beavers jumped out to an early lead scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning
· The Coo struck back in the bottom of the 3rd with a Grand Slam hit by Brady Klehr. Minot had scored 3 more runs in the top of the 3rd so USF was only down 6-4.
· Minot scored 7 runs in the 7th to put the game away.
SIOUX FALLS LEADERS
· Ben Serie, Brady Klehr, Tyler Cate, and David Swanson each had hits for USF
· Brady Klehr led USF with 4 RBI.
· Ben Serie recorded 5 strikeouts for the Coo.
UP NEXT
The Cougars will be back in action Wednesday March 22. They will take on Minnesota Duluth in Sioux City, IA. The doubleheader will be played at Bishop Mueller Field on the campus of Briar Cliff University. Game 1 starts at 10:30AM.
