MANDAN, N.D. – The Cougars women's tennis team split on the weekend with a 5-2 victory over MSU Moorhead.

DOUBLES RESULTS

Talia Janos and Danielle Thorfinnson captured their first win double win of the season and the weekend with a 6-4 victory.

Ella Hancock and Sydney Osburn fell short in a 6-1 match as the team's No.2 doubles pair today.

Alissa Thorfinnson and Jaelyn Haler secured the Cougars doubles victory with a 6-3 win.

SINGLES RESULTS

Janos fell 6-1, 6-3 to Shaelyn Johnson in the opening singles match for the Coo.

D. Thorfinnson also fell short in a 6-2, 6-3 defeat at the hands of Tiannah Gu.

Osburn went 2-0 on the weekend with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Tia Dykema.

Hancock defeated Marissa Burian in a 6-2, 6-2 match. Hancock moves to 5-5 on the season with her first conference singles victory.

Katelyn Nesheim picked up her fifth consecutive victory to go 2-0 on the weekend with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Claire Nemmers.

Emma Rangel rounded out the Cougars with a 6-5, 7-5 victory over Madison Bell and finishes the weekend 2-0.

UP NEXT

The Cougars will be back in action this weekend as they hit the road to take on Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State in Grand Forks, N.D.
