AUSTIN - In a release by the College Sports Communicators yesterday, March 20th, USF Swimmer Elizabeth Spaans was named to the Academic All-America Team. 

The 5th year swimmer was named to the third team for Division II with a GPA of 3.98. Lizzy is a Psychology & Sociology / Spanish & Social Sciences major who was listed as an alternate for the NCAA Championships earlier this year. She was also one of only seven NSIC representatives within the list of 34 total student-athletes.

Last week Spaans was also named to the NSIC's Winter All-Academic list and during the NSIC Championships she was named Outstanding Senior of the Year.
