Auburndale, FL. – The University of Sioux Falls Baseball team was able to split their doubleheader with Wilmington University today. Game 1 went to the Cougars 4-0 behind a good outing from Grayson Skinner on the mound. Wilmington was able to come back in game 2 scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take the game 6-4
WHAT HAPPENED
· In game 1, the Cougars outhit Wilmington 8-2, and 7-5 in game 2.
· The Coo in game 2 were able to take a 4-2 lead in the top of the 6th before Wilmington scored 4 in the bottom half.
· In game 1, USF scored single runs in the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th innings to end up winning 4-0
SIOUX FALLS LEADERS
· Game 1 was dominated by Grayson Skinner who went all 7 innings while only giving up 2 hits. He had 4 strikeouts and 4 walks as well.
· Noah Christenson and Ben Serie led USF with 2 hits each in game 1.
· Brady Klehr paced the Cougars in game 2 with 2 hits.
UP NEXT
The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow in Melbourne, FL. The Coo will take on Florida Tech at 6pm(CT).
