SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls softball team has announced that the remainder of their home games throughout the 2023 season will be played at the new Sanford Diamonds baseball and softball complex located on the campus of the Sanford Sports Complex.
The team is scheduled to host 10 games on field eight for the remainder of their season. Sioux Falls will host Mary and Minot State in two doubleheaders this weekend with game times starting at 1pm and 3pm both Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, the Cougars will recognize their alumni during their annual Alumni Day game against the Marauders.
Sioux Falls currently holds a 10-4 series record over Mary while averaging 7.57 runs a game and outscoring the Marauders 106-52.
On Sunday, USF will take on Minot State in their annual Senior Day recognition game.
The Cougars and Beavers have squared off 17 times since 2013 with USF holding an 11-6 record over MSU. Sioux Falls currently holds a seven-game win streak over Minot State and has outscored them 100-74.
Sioux Falls will return to the Sanford Diamonds to host Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State on April 22 and April 23.
USF was scheduled to host Southwest Minnesota State for their Mental Health Awareness game in March, but due to weather complications the two teams had to postpone the doubleheader. Both teams are working on scheduling a new date that will be announced later this week, but the games will be played at the Sanford Diamonds as well.
