SIOUX FALLS – The NSIC announced their weekly Athletes of the Week yesterday, with USF Track & Field Athlete Micade Shumway receiving track honors.

Shumway earned this award for his finish at the UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge last Friday. Shumway not only ran the fastest 10,000 meter run of the season in the NSIC, but ran it 1:52 faster than the next best time in the Northern Sun on the 2023 outdoor track. His time of 30:52.61 resulted in a 30 second personal record. With this time, Shumway also received #10 Honor Roll at USF in the 10,000 meter run. This award is given to athletes who display top efforts within races of all time.
