BURNSVILLE, MINN- The NSIC has announced its 2025 Outdoor Track & Field Athletes and Coaches of the Year, with Tyler Hiatt and throwing coach Alissa Rausch among those honored.

Tyler Hiatt, a fifth-year thrower from Sioux Falls, S.D. (Lincoln HS), was named the NSIC Men's Field Athlete of the Year following an outstanding performance at the 2025 NSIC Outdoor Championships. Competing for the University of Sioux Falls, Hiatt tied as the High Point Performer with 22 total points, placing in the top eight in three events. He claimed the conference title in the shot put, finished as runner-up in the discus, and took fifth in the hammer throw. Nationally, Hiatt ranks fifth in NCAA Division II in the shot put with a mark of 18.59 meters (61'-0'), while also ranking 16th in the hammer and 25th in the discus. He was recognized during the season as the NSIC Field Athlete of the Week and currently holds the USF school records in both the shot put and hammer throw.

Alissa Rausch, throws coach at the University of Sioux Falls, was named the NSIC Women's Assistant Coach of the Year for her outstanding contributions during the 2025 NSIC Outdoor Championships. Rausch coached four All-NSIC performers—Kami Wadsworth, Olivia Baumberger, Tobi Peterson, and Tyler Hiatt—and guided Wadsworth to an NSIC title in the javelin. While honored on the women's side, her coaching impact extended to the men's team as well, where she coached Tyler Hiatt to a championship performance in the shot put. Under her leadership, USF throwers contributed 40 points, playing a crucial role in the Cougars' fourth-place team finish.
