SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – On Halloween night, the USF Volleyball team (12-9, 7-6 NSIC) faced off against Winona State (15-9, 8-5 NSIC) at the Stewart Center. Despite a strong effort and standout performances, the Cougars couldn't conjure up a win, falling to the Warriors in a three-set match with scores of 21-25, 18-25, and 22-25.

In a match that saw several ties and momentum shifts, Sioux Falls kept the pressure on with balanced play across the board. Winona State claimed the first set 25-21 despite strong efforts by the Cougars. Sioux Falls battled back in the second set with improved offensive rhythm, led by Jordan Kuper and Sadie Voss, but ultimately fell 18-25. The third set showcased another intense exchange, with Sioux Falls pushing Winona State to the edge before the Warriors closed it out 25-22.

As a team, Sioux Falls recorded 33 kills, 3 service aces, and 7 blocks but ultimately struggled against Winona State's efficient .268 hitting percentage. The Cougars' defensive efforts tallied 36 digs, and they showcased several notable blocks at the net.
