MOORHEAD, MINN. - Cougar Soccer picked up their first win today knocking off MSU Moorhead 2-0.
USF had 21 shots with 14 being on goal and had 5 corner kicks.
Hannah Welch got the Coo on the board early with a goal in the 2nd minute of action. This is Hannah's second goal of her career. Mara Nelson tacked on another goal for USF in the 43rd minute off of an assist from Julia Bowman.
Delani Daubman started in net for USF. Daubman recorded 6 saves while giving up no goals.
USF was shown 4 yellow cards throughout the match. Alivia Tindall was shown the first in the 35th minute, Gaby Drought was shown yellow in the 38th minute, Ellie Ripperda was shown yellow in the 86th minute, and finally Hannah Welch was shown a yellow card in the 88th minute. USF committed 12 fouls compared to MSU Moorhead's 9.
The Coo will be back in action on Friday October 11. They will host Winona State at Bob Young Field starting at 2PM.
