Bemidji, Minn. - The University of Sioux Falls Men's Basketball team fell to Bemidji State 76-69.
The Cougars came out hot on the offensive end. They won the first half 41-37 while shooting 50% from the field and 53% from behind the 3 point line. USF played lockdown defense in the first half holding BSU to 42% shooting from the field and 3-10 on 3 point attempts. USF led the entire first half with their largest lead being 10 points.Â
Bemidji State flipped the script in the 2nd half. The Beavers took the period 39-28 to beat the Cougars. BSU shot 54% from the field and went 1-4 on 3s. USF went cold offensively shooting just 28% from the field and 25% from behind the 3 point line. BSU won the rebounding battle 41-34 and had 40 points in the paint compared to 24 for USF.Â
LEADERS
Noah Puetz led USF in scoring with a season high 22 points. Jack Thompson also added 15 points.Â
Puetz posted a double double with a career high 11 rebounds to go along with his 22 points. Thompson, Shawn Warrior, and Josh Baker each added 5 rebounds.
Jack Thompson dished out a game high 5 assists. Shawn Warrior added a season high 4 assists as well. Thompson also played 38 minutes which tied the game high in minutes played. Â

The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow. They will travel to St. Cloud to take on St. Cloud State starting at 5:30PM.
