Box Score 2 TOPEKA, KAN. - Cougar Softball opened the day with a big 10-1 win over Southwest Baptist to start the day before falling to Rockhurst, 4-0.
GAME 1 - SOUTHWEST BAPTIST
Alannah Naumann and Taryn Wagner led the Coo at the plate in game one while Naumann went 2-for-3 with a double and stolen base while Wagner went 2-for-4 with a double. Both Nauman and Wagner brought in 2 RBI while Emma Barta, Riley Schwisow, Megan Lawson and Kenzie Raymond brought in one apiece.
Maddi Duncan picked up her fifth win of the season throwing 5-innings while facing 21 batters. Duncan picked up 4 strikeouts while giving up just one walk and one run. Kate Kotlarz came in on relief for USF facing 4 batters while forcing 2 flyouts and a groundout to close out the game.
GAME 2 - ROCKHURST
The Cougars were shutout in game two with just 2 walks drawn by Hannah Fry and Raymond.
Campbell Petrick got the start for USF, pitching 5.2 innings with 3 strikeouts, 6 hits and 3 runs before being relieved by Bailee Lampman in the 6th. Lampman closed game two out with 1.1 innings pitched along with 1 strikeout, 1 hit and 1 run.

The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow as they take on Pittsburg State and Fort Hays State tomorrow afternoon beginning at 2pm.
