Sioux Falls, S.D. - The University of Sioux Falls Men's Basketball team fell to Minot State 79-55.
The Beavers came out ready to roll. They led for the entire game and started off by winning the first half 35-22. Minot shot 46% from the field and 44% from the 3 point line. The Cougars struggled to get their offense going in the first half shooting 23% from the field and 28% from behind the 3 point line.Â
The second half was more of the same from both teams. Minot won the second half 44-33 to end up beating the Coo by 24. The Beavers did not cool off on the offensive end as they shot 54% from the field and 3-8 from downtown. The Cougars struggled on offense for the entire game as they shot 30% from the field and 14% from the 3 point line in the second half. Minot won the rebounding battle 46-37 and had 38 points in the paint compared to 16 from USF. The Cougars got 12 points off of Beaver turnovers and had 36 bench points.
LEADERS
Noah Puetz paced USF in scoring with 18 points off the bench. Josh Baker added 9 points and Jack Thompson chipped in 7.Â
Josh Baker led The Coo in rebounding with 8 rebounds. Shawn Warrior and Creighton Morisch each added 4 boards.Â
Shawn Warrior led USF in assists with 4 and steals with 2. Jack Thompson played a team high 30 minutes.    Â
