NEWTON, KS – The USF Women's Golf team played the first round at Sand Creek Station Golf Course today and left the course in 7^th.
 
The Cougars were led by Maggie Veenendall and Abbie Ritzer with both golfers going 3 over par on the day and tying for 9^th place. Overall USF shot 27 over for a team score of 315 that left them 2 strokes from 6^th. Round 2 will take place tomorrow morning.
