SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - USF Softball freshman Riley Schwisow was named a 2024 College Sports Evaluation (CSE) D2 Freshman Midseason All-American yesterday afternoon.
The Beatrice, Nebraska native is averaging a .435 batting average in 92 at-bats for the Cougars. Schwisow leads USF with 40 hits on the season along with 8 home runs, 6 doubles and 2 triples. The newly named All-American has crossed the plate 31 times while recording 33 RBI and going 11-for-11 in stolen bases.
Earlier this season, the freshman went 3 consecutive games with a 1.000 batting average going 8-for-8 at the plate. Schwisow sits in the top-3 of multiple categories in the conference standings including: batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, on-base + slugging percentage, RBI and home runs.
USF will host Northern State this afternoon at 2 & 4pm followed by a doubleheader tomorrow against MSU Moorhead at 1 & 3pm at the Sanford Diamonds.
