BURNSVILLE, MN – After a great year of golfing, Mason Weeks has been named First Team All-Conference by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in a release today.

After transferring to USF two years ago Mason Weeks receives his first NSIC All-Conference honors with a First Team selection.

Mason led the Cougars in nearly every tournament this year as he posted 7 top-10 finishes. The Junior placed 2nd in two tournaments including a team victory at the USF Invitational and a team runner up finish at the Watkins Invite in September. His best tournament came at the aforementioned Watkins Invite where he used 23 pars, 8 birdies and an eagle to go 6 strokes under par with rounds of 68 and 70. His best single round was at the USF Invitational where he dominated in the first round with a 6-under 66 featuring 7 pars and 9 birdies. At the NSIC Championship, Weeks again led the Cougars as he finished in 9th with the team in 5th. Throughout the 2023-24 season Mason sank 295 par shots, 88 birdies and 3 eagles for an average strokes per round of 73.07.

Head Coach Wade Merry on Mason: "This is a great honor for Mason who had an excellent year for us. We've believed he was one of the top golfers in the NSIC all year. It's great to see him being recognized by the rest of our league as one of the best, he's earned it."

Now at the conclusion of his best collegiate season, Weeks has been named USF's lone All-Conference selection for 2023-24. The Junior was only one of 6 golfers across the NSIC to receive First Team honors, it was also his first time receiving All-Conference honors. He joins teammate Gavin Metz and Assistant Coach JJ Cooney as the only USF Men's Golfers to receive First Team All-Conference honors from the NSIC. Metz received the honor after last year's great campaign.
