ABERDEEN, S.D. - Cougar Volleyball (5-4, 0-1 NSIC) opened conference play on the road as they took on Northern State (9-0, 1-0 NSIC). USF fell to NSU three sets to one inside Wachs Arena tonight.

MATCH RECAP
Following a career high night, Sioux Falls was led by freshman Abby Haus who landed 17 kills while putting back seven blocks for The Coo. Sadie Voss added 12 kills on the night while Jordan Kuper added nine kills and six blocks.
USF landed 49 kills throughout the night with match highs coming in set two with the Cougars recorded a .256 attacking percentage on 39 attacks.
Elise Gillen handed out 21 assists with Liz Kopp chipping in 17.
Defensively, Voss, Gillen and Faith Van Eck combined for 56 of the Cougars 76 digs with Voss recording 24, Gillen 18 and Van Eck 14.
Offensively, both teams struggled while both programs averaged less than a .200 attacking percentage.

Sioux Falls will hit the road once again next Tuesday, September 24 as they take on Winona State at 6pm in Winona, Minnesota at McCown Gymnasium before returning home Friday, September 27 to host UMary at 6pm followed by Minot State on Saturday at 2pm.
