SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Cougar Volleyball (8-4, 3-1 NSIC) closed out the weekend with a 3-0 sweep over Minot State (1-10, 0-4 NSIC).

USF was led by junior Courtney Holsteen in a career-high night with 20 kills, four digs and three blocks. Grace Hanel added to the offensive game with 13 kills on the day.
Sioux Falls landed 54 kills on the day while recording a .358 attacking percentage on 109 attacks compared to the Beavers .202 percent on 109 attacks.
Elise Gillen recorded 23 assists while Lizz Kopp added 15 for The Coo.
Defensively, Gillen led the Cougars with 11 digs followed by Faith Van Eck and Kyleigh Tangen each with eight and Tatum Godinez with seven. USF was led by Jordan Kuper with two solo blocks on the day and Jordyn Hamm with three assisted blocks.
Offensively, USF opened the match with a .630 attacking percentage landing 18 kills on 27 attacks and boasted six service aces on the day.
UP NEXT
Sioux Falls will hit the road this coming week to take on #12 St. Cloud State and #15 Minnesota Duluth this upcoming Friday and Saturday. USF will open the weekend in St. Cloud, Minnesota against the Huskies at 6pm Friday night followed by a trip to Duluth where they will take on the Bulldogs at 2pm.
The Coo will return home October 8 for the annual Avera Breast Cancer Awareness match against #9 Concordia-St. Paul at 6pm inside the Stewart Center.
